As far as store-bought soups go, Campbell’s line of Gardennay soups is pretty darn good. Tonight, I had the Red Pepper Black Bean, and added a diced roasted red pepper to it for texture.

What I like about this line is there are no chemicals in it. The ingredients list  is water, red peppers, tomato paste, tomatoes, rehydrated leeks, black bean flakes, dehydrated potatoes, salt, corn syrup, paprika, carrots, cabbage, onion, celery, parsley, sugar, cream, modified cornstarch, butter, yeast extract, lemon juice concentrate, roasted garlic puree and spices.

I like the tang the peppers give the soup, but would have liked a bit more black bean in there. Still, it went down well on this very cold night.
