Nothing Special


Today’s lunch was a pretty basic meat & veg. Granted, it was one of my favourite veg – asparagus! I sprinked it with some fresh grated parmesan and paired that with some leftover steak.

The steak was from a batch I’d grilled up the other day. It had been marinated in whole grain mustard, garlic, and a splash of red wine. The asparagus I cooked in about ½ inch of water in a shallow pan until just tender.

I’d been up since 6:30 this morning and didn’t eat lunch until nearly 3, so while this meal wasn’t outstanding, it did the job.
